Many do not know that the Rooney's were (and currently are) involved in the horse breeding and racing business. Pictured above is a young horse from Shamrock Farm, located just west of Baltimore Maryland.

Shamrock Farm breeds over 300 race horses a year.

Most of these black and white and color action photos were taken by Art Jr.'s son Dr. Art Rooney, III. Art III was in his teens and a young aspiring photographer back then. Today, Art III practices dentistry.
